How it Works | Niche Marketing Web Guidelines

This program was designed for serious niche marketers who want more quality backlinks to their niche sites. We have provided a few means to accomplish this, but in order to make sure that the backlinks are worth anything in the eyes of the big “G”, there are certain guidelines that must be followed. Attempting to misuse this site or intentionally circumvent these guidelines will result in being banned from this site without warning. Sorry, but it is for the protection of the community.

The first thing you should do, after successful registration is fill out your profile. Your profile is where people will go to see your sites and request backlinks.  More on that in “forum” section below. There are several ways that you can use this site to get backlinks to your sites:

1. Offer to post articles related to your niche
2. Comment on other articles
3. Offer link trades in the forum

The Rules:

Posting Articles
Registered users may post unique, quality articles. No duplicate content! Post something that is worthy of the attention of the readers, as well as the search engines. To post an article, just do it the same way on any wordpress blog and submit for approval.  Be sure you follow the guidelines below:

Grammar – Please check your articles for proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. Niche Marketing Web reserves the right to make “minor” editing changes, as well as dismiss an article entirely.
Excerpts – You must have a “teaser” in the “excerpt” box, directly below the main post text area. This is so a teaser of your post will be displayed on the home page. The first paragraph of your article, copied and pasted is fine. The excerpt box does accept link code, so I recommend that you properly anchor your main keyword here.
Keywords – Do NOT keyword saturate your articles! I recommend using your main keyword once per 100 words.
Links – You may use no more than 4 links to any single domain (2 to your site’s home page and 2 to internal pages) per article, including your resource box. You may also include up to 2 additional links to additional domain(s), for a maximum of 6 links per article. Links must open in a new window.

When posting, if you do not find a catagory that fits your article, post it to uncategorized and I will add the appropriate category.  Also please try to use previously used tags, if you can.

Commenting on Articles
Registered users may comment on any article that they choose. The comment links will be “dofollow”. Make sure when commenting, you adhere to these guidelines:

Relevancy – Comments must be relevant to the subject matter of the article to which it is posted.
Content – The content of the comment must make sense. It doesn’t need to ask a question or comment directly to the article author (though, that is encouraged), but it does need to make sense, have appropriate grammar, punctuation, etc.
Comment Length – Comments with links in them must be a minimum of 80 words (preferably 90-110 words). Comments without links (ie: nice article, which submitter do you recommend?) have no minimum word requirements.
Links – You are allowed a maximum of 2 links within your articles comments – 1 to your main page and 1 to a sub-page. You can also choose none to your main and 2 to (2 different) sub-pages. Anchor similar keywords as the author, but not the same. The article author gets first dibs on the anchored keywords to that page. If you want the author’s keywords, use them in another article.

Picture this: Someone posts a 600 word article about office furniture. There are 5 people that go to that article and post 100 word articles. Maybe they post snippets from their articles from other sites, that are spun a little or whatever. Now, in the serps eyes, that page has 1,100 words of relevant, keyword rich content to play with. Everybody benefits.

Posting to the Forum
In addition to offering support and a place to ask questions and discuss issues, the forum will be the primary place to go to request link trades or look for someone willing to trade links in your niche areas.  The forum will have 2 topics for posting link trade requests:

Multiple Niche Requests – This area is for posting your niche categories and your preferences for link trades. Other members that are interested in your niches will be directed to your profile page where your URLs are located. They can go to your sites, see if they are interested, and contact you according to your preferred method of contact. I recommend requesting PMs, so that you will also get a chance to check out their profile/sites. DO NOT POST LINKS OR URLS IN THE LINK REQUESTS FORUMS!
Single Niche Requests – This section is for categorically arraigned link requests. Posting here will make it easier for members to find you when they are searching for link trades for a specific niche. I recommend posting here even if you have already posted to the multiple niche section. The rules here are the same. NO LINKS!

All posts to the forum can be rated and tagged.  Posters tag their posts so that others looking for trades in a particular niche should find people willing to trade in that niche much easier.  People can rate other people’s posts as a gauge to help people out.  If I am looking for a trade with someone on article marketing and I see a person with 1 star, I will likely move on.  Conversely,  if I see someone with 5 stars, I will definitely request an exchange with them.

If you have other ideas for ways that we can make this system work better, I am but a contact form away.
