First Step: The first and most important step is to make sure the wall you have chosen is dry and clean. To make sure of this I suggest that you take a hot wet towel and thoroughly clean the surface. Then allow plenty of time to dry, decals need to be applied to a very dry surface. One other thing I would recommend is that you choose a wall without any textures, the smoother the better. If your heart is set on a specific place and the wall is textured, don't worry I have applied decals to textured walls myself, you'll just need to be extra careful.

Aside: Remember, once the decal is applied it can not be used again so make sure you are comfortable with its' position. Take some extra time and hang it up with tape for a few days to make sure you are happy with the location.
